Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Technician in Brockville, Ontario
Industrial Maintenance Technician (Millwright/ Electrical)
We’re looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the ongoing maintenance and reliability of manufacturing equipment used in motor coil and wire production.
This is a hands‑on, long‑term role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with mechanical and electrical systems, and making practical improvements to equipment and processes. You’ll work alongside experienced trades and engineering support, with the opportunity to contribute ideas and take pride in keeping equipment running safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Support equipment such as:
Hydraulic presses
Lathes and milling machines
Wire and rolling‑mill related machinery
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to improve uptime
Assist with equipment repairs, upgrades, and incremental improvements
Support basic PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting
Work with external electrical or controls contractors when required
Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
Essential Skills
Diploma or Certificate in Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related discipline
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment
Strong hands‑on experience with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell preferred)
Working knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and industrial control hardware
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical manuals
Proven troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
Experience in motor manufacturing, coil winding, or electromechanical assembly
Familiarity with servo motion systems, robotics, or vision systems
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Exposure to equipment commissioning, integration, or automation upgrades

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
