Job Summary: The Accounting Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing accounting projects within the organization. This position ensures financial initiatives—including but not limited to tax compliance, financial report reviews, accounting system maintenance and support, subsidiary reports and internal audits—are executed efficiently, on schedule, and in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, management of project timelines, and expert guidance on accounting principles and practices are essential to the role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee accounting projects from initiation to completion.

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate with finance, tax, audit, IT, facilities and other operating departments to ensure seamless accounting related project execution.

  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and objectives.

  • Ensure strict compliance with tax regulations and company policies.

  • Lead and facilitate internal audits to assess and improve financial controls and processes.

  • Oversee the review and accuracy of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting and OEM standards

  • Lead post-project reviews and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, financial reporting, and internal audit procedures.

  • Proficient in reviewing and analyzing complex financial reports.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in accounting software and project management tools.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
