Resideo is hiring a Senior EMC RF Certification Engineer to ensure our products meet the latest global regulatory requirements. Based in our state‑of‑the‑art, FCC‑accredited test laboratory in Brno, this role is responsible for performing EMC, RF, and antenna‑related certification measurements across Resideo’s global product portfolio.

This is a hands‑on position with lead responsibility for executing product certification testing in accordance with industry standards relevant to each product’s launch region. The role plays a key part in maintaining laboratory accreditations and supporting the continued expansion of our in‑house testing capabilities.

We are looking for a candidate with strong expertise in RF fundamentals and RF testing, proven experience with EMC directives and EMC test execution, and fluency in English.

JOB DUTIES:

• Independently perform;

• EMC testing (emissions and immunity)

• RF testing (radiated parameters for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, etc.)

• Antenna measurements (gain, efficiency, 3D radiation patterns, and related parameters)

• Demonstrate strong understanding of accredited lab requirements, including:

• Internal and external audit readiness

• Creation and maintenance of the Quality Manual to ISO 17025 standards

• Test equipment management, including calibration records

• Coordinate globally with cross‑functional teams to support certification testing for NPIs, including early design reviews

• Review and interpret test requirements based on applicable industry standards such as EN 60730, EN 62368, and RF standards under the EU RED

• Proactively identify and drive opportunities to expand in‑house testing scope to support faster NPI timelines

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Deep knowledge of RF fundamentals and RF product testing, including signal receiver configuration, test setups, and test methods

• Experience working with EMC directives and advanced knowledge of EMC immunity and emissions methods (Surge, ESD, EFT, radiated immunity, voltage dips, radiated and conducted emissions)

• Fluency in English

• Knowledge of ISO 17025 or experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environment

• Demonstrated strength in reviewing data for validity, repeatability, and compliance with relevant standards, with clear and concise communication, able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external labs/TCBs to resolve report corrections or clarify requirements.

• Proven ability to independently manage and execute reporting workflows with efficiency and accuracy.

WE VALUE:

• Understanding of telecommunications protocols including Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi

• Practical experience with IP networking, UART command line interfaces, and scripting

• Ability to debug EMC issues, with foundational knowledge of EMC design principles and components

• Fluency in Czech

• Knowledge of one or more of the following industry standards: EN 60730, EN 62368, EN 300 220, EN 300 328, EN 300 440, EN 301 893
