Tri City Shuttle Co Shuttle Bus Driver in Bristol, Virginia
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a shuttle bus safely along assigned routes and schedules - Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations
- Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and luggage when needed - Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures - Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly - Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the shuttle vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to passenger inquiries - Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger counts (if required)
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia or Tennessee drivers license - no exceptions (CDL is not required)
- Job Location: Bristol, Virginia and surrounding areas
- A clean driving record with no major violations over past 5-10 years
- Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) Credit Card payment system (will train during orientation)
- Ability to operate GPS or route navigation systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility (wheelchair lift) or luggage (up to 50 pounds)
- Good vision, hearing, and reaction time (Pre-Employment physical may be requested and paid for by Tri City Shuttle)
Work Environment
- May involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Driving in various weather and traffic conditions
- Frequent interaction with passengers and the public
