Position Summary
Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our hospital-employed Behavioral Health team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary hospital setting while being supported by the stability and resources of one of the nation’s leading healthcare systems.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients
Manage psychiatric conditions through evidence-based medication management and treatment planning
Deliver care in an inpatient and/or consult-liaison setting (based on program needs)
Collaborate closely with nursing staff, social workers, therapists, hospitalists, and case management
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
Comply with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and all state and federal regulations
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
Participate in on-call coverage as required
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain
DEA license or eligibility
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based, team-oriented environment
