About the opportunity
Energy Programmes is one of our newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
Amentum are currenting looking to recruit a GDPR Officer.
As part of strengthening the organisation’s compliance with data protection regulations, the company seeks support from an expert profile capable of ensuring compliance with both the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
The purpose of this mission is to map all personal data processing activities, document and formalise compliance measures, support business teams, and ensure that appropriate security measures are implemented in line with the sensitivity of the data processed.
Analyse, validate, and document the legal bases applicable to each processing activity, ensuring consistency with UK and EU GDPR requirements.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Proven expertise in UK GDPR and ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) recommendations.
Ability to apply UK data protection principles within an international or multi-jurisdictional context.
Demonstrated experience in legal basis analysis, and documentation within complex organisations.
Sound knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in data security.
Ability to translate regulatory obligations into practical and technical actions.
Experience in workshop facilitation and change management.
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
(Preferred) DPO certification or equivalent (e.g., CIPP/E, DPD, etc.).
