L3Harris’ Bristol location is the Headquarters for our Maritime UK business – a leading global supplier of integrated marine control systems and simulation products for warships, submarines and high-end commercial marine vessels worldwide. Since its inception, L3Harris has continuously iterated upon our Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) technology and successfully exported and delivered the system to over 300 vessels across 27 navies worldwide. We have additional Maritime UK sites in Burgess Hill, Barrow-In-Furness and Portchester. Together, we are powering the Royal Navy’s adoption of autonomous surface vehicle technology as well as delivering autonomous capability to UK ports, harbours and offshore energy service providers.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
Tasks are performed in conjunction with program managers and functional managers
Generate financial reporting packages and provide counsel to program managers on variances
Baseline development and maintenance, performance management and estimate at complete development and analysis
Implement, monitor, report and analyse program budget and / or schedule
Perform earned value management including implementation, maintenance, reporting and analysis
Organise cost and / or schedule date for monthly program reviews
Prepare and monitor funding plans labour and subcontract / material / ODC forecast plans
Complete analyse date for monthly forecast review including orders, sales, operating income and cash
Prepare ETC / EAC estimates from program staff input
Participate in presentations and group discussions at internal and external financial / schedule meetings
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the organisation to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Perform other duties as required
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
Preference for a minimum of 2 years’ prior related experience
Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with recognised accountancy qualification
Excellent interpersonal skills to achieve effective partnerships and relationships in a multi-discipline environment
Displays a high level of respect, diplomacy and tact when dealing with stakeholders
Resilient, highly flexible and a naturally inquisitive individual
Advanced user of MS Office Suite including Excel modelling
Experience with Earned Value Management – preferred but not essential
Experience with PowerBI - preferred but not essential
