Our thought leadership group is a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about shifting the way Hatch is recognised by surfacing its deep expertise and transforming this into fresh perspectives and valuable insights. With expertise in strategy, storytelling, and facilitation, the team works across organisations to develop thought leadership that reflects the technical expertise and entrepreneurial spirit of Hatch.
Hatch currently has aPractitioner roleavailable within the broader Marketing and Communications team, based inBrisbane, Australia.Reporting to theRegional Practice Lead - Thought Leadership, this role offers a rare opportunity to help build and evolve a strategic thought leadership platform for the Hatch brand. You will play a key role in shaping Hatch’s thought leadership portfolio and scaling its impact by accelerating the coaching, facilitation, and storytelling capabilities of a diverse group of contributors across one of Hatch’s most important regions.
Your Responsibilities
Engage with leaders from across Hatch to understand their viewpoints and ideas.
Help coach domain experts in the facilitation of sessions that ensure they can reframe these viewpoints and ideas in provocative and valuable ways.
Reference research and thought leadership outside Hatch to frame these viewpoints and ideas within a broader industry context.
Help synthesize these diverse internal and external inputs into a portfolio of thought leadership projects.
Contribute to a common storytelling methodology and vocabulary to help Hatch build storytelling muscle that will fuel its thought leadership.
Partner with the Brand team to champion the Hatch brand and ensure that our platform for thought leadership positions Hatch in a consistent way.
Partner with creatives to formulate visual and editorial concepts and work collaboratively to ideate and develop them.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will hold a university degree in technology, design, engineering, or a related field, or a communications degree with coursework in technology, design, or engineering. You will have experience working closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts and bring excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You are self‑confident, able to influence effectively, and have a solid foundation in facilitation. A strong appreciation for well‑crafted communications, both visual and verbal is essential, along with strong organisational and time management skills. You will have demonstrated the ability to drive projects through to completion, show perseverance when navigating complexity, and apply strong editorial judgement with a high level of attention to detail. Working knowledge of engineering or a related discipline is also required.
