You will lead modelling and architecture activities across high-profile Defence domains such as C4ISREW, MILSATCOM & Space and Integrated Air & Missile Defence. Working with domain specialists, you will capture and model concepts, requirements and designs using MBSE toolsets such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect and ANSYS. You will apply mission engineering, modelling and simulation to ensure integration and traceability across the full lifecycle.
Beyond program delivery, you will help build KBR’s Digital Engineering capability — shaping engineering frameworks, uplifting infrastructure including Systems Integration Laboratory environments, and advancing collaboration across virtual networks.
This role is ideal for a technically strong leader with deep Defence systems knowledge and an interest in emerging technologies including AI/ML, digital twins and cloud platforms.

Drive Digital Engineering capability uplift by developing frameworks, models and processes within the Engineering Management System (EMS).
Capture and embed end-to-end systems engineering best practice aligned to KBR strategy and growth roadmaps.
Develop and integrate Mission Engineering models and simulations using MBSE tools across both capture and program delivery phases.
Define end-to-end architecture solutions aligned to Defence standards, technology roadmaps and business requirements.
Strengthen KBR’s Digital Engineering knowledge base through reusable models, artefacts and environment enhancements.
Collaborate with Defence clients, industry partners and project teams to shape system architectures and technical strategies.
Ensure compliance with key Defence standards (ASDEFCON, MIL-STD-881, ISO/IEC 15288) and cybersecurity requirements.
Integrate supplier and customer models into enterprise-level system architectures.
Deliver clear technical documentation, reporting and continuous improvement across digital engineering environments and infrastructure.

Advanced proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML), with experience across DoDAF, MODAF or NAF frameworks.
Proven ability to capture operational concepts as models and translate stakeholder inputs into high-value engineering artefacts (processes, procedures, guidance).
Experience managing configuration, baselines and engineering change.
Working knowledge of system safety, cyber security and configuration management disciplines.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex systems to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience mentoring teams in digital engineering, systems thinking and model governance.
