The role operates with limited supervision, provides technical leadership, and influences automation standards across teams.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Agile delivery teams to define automation strategy, identify systemic inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with developers and quality engineers to standardize pipelines, environments, and workflows, reducing manual effort and operational risk.

  • Design, implement, and support robust CI/CD pipelines, proactively removing delivery bottlenecks and improving deployment reliability.

  • Take ownership of complex automation and deployment issues, performing root cause analysis and driving long term corrective solutions.

  • Coordinate with multiple Agile teams to identify, manage, and resolve technical dependencies impacting delivery and operations.

  • Work closely with external and enterprise teams to ensure alignment with corporate architecture, security, and compliance standards.

  • Establish and maintain automation standards, best practices, and reusable templates across teams.

  • Document automation designs, operational procedures, and runbooks in Confluence, and plan and track work in Azure DevOps.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and peers, raising overall automation maturity within the organization.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering roles, with demonstrated ownership of complex systems.

  • Strong experience in scripting and code with IaC.

  • Hands on experience with AWS services, including containerized and orchestrated platforms such as Kubernetes.

  • Deep working knowledge of CI/CD tooling and practices, including Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps, at enterprise scale.

  • Preferable Microsoft Azure certifications, such as:

  • Azure Administrator Associate

  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent relevant Azure credentials

  • Experience working with database platforms and services, including SQL Server and Postgres.

  • Proven experience supporting microservices based architectures in production environments.

  • Solid understanding of compliance and quality frameworks (e.g. ISO) and how they apply to automated delivery pipelines.

  • Working development knowledge in .NET, Java, and/or Python, sufficient to review code, troubleshoot issues, and contribute where required.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.

Benefits:

  • Competitive remuneration package including a great bonus structure and share options.

  • Intentional career development with exposure to global teams and markets.

  • A strong commitment to safety and your wellbeing

  • An inclusive workplace culture focused on quality, customer service and the environment

  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion, equal opportunity, and equal outcome

  • The opportunity to do truly meaningful work in a supportive, constructive culture that encourages you to make the most of your talents.
