Job Title: Construction Laborer/Carpentry/Service Technician
Job Description
The Service Technician performs maintenance, repair, and preparation of mobile office trailers and related units based on daily work orders. This role involves hands-on work using hand and power tools, supporting a variety of tasks such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and painting to ensure all units are ready for delivery and meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
Review daily work instructions and work orders to plan and organize tasks for the day.
Prepare mobile office trailers and units for delivery according to specifications and quality standards.
Load, unload, assemble, and arrange furniture within units in a safe and efficient manner.
Use hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs on mobile office trailers, including basic carpentry, electrical work, flooring, plumbing, and painting.
Perform general repair, assembly, and maintenance tasks as required to keep units in optimal condition.
Maintain proper inventory levels of equipment, tools, and parts, and report shortages or issues promptly.
Support general grounds and yard maintenance to keep the worksite clean, organized, and safe.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working in the warehouse and yard.
Communicate effectively with the supervisor and team members to coordinate work and resolve issues.
Complete all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of construction experience, which may include concrete labor, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or facilities maintenance.
Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools for repair and maintenance work.
Basic skills in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, flooring, and painting.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials and furniture.
Capability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail to ensure units are properly prepared and repaired.
Reliable attendance and punctuality to meet daily work schedules.
Ability to work both indoors in a warehouse and outdoors in a yard environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with general maintenance and repair in an industrial, warehouse, or construction setting.
knowledge in welding or similar trade skills is beneficial.
Comfort working with a variety of building materials and finishes.
Ability to work effectively as part of a small team of technicians.
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and a variety of repair tasks throughout the day.

Work Environment
The role is based primarily in a warehouse and outdoor yard setting where most repairs and servicing take place inside the warehouse, with additional work performed throughout the yard. The environment is not temperature controlled, so conditions reflect the outdoor weather: it will be hot in warm seasons and cold in cooler seasons. The team currently consists of a mix of full-time and temporary technicians, creating a small, collaborative crew. The organization provides all necessary tools and equipment to complete each task, and the schedule follows a first-shift pattern, with the first day running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the regular shift typically running from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. New hires may begin orientation at a nearby location before reporting to their primary worksite, and they report directly to a production supervisor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
