Study Group FP&A Manager in Brighton, United Kingdom
Contract Type: Full time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent
Location: Brighton, Head Office - Remote
As part of our Commercial Finance team, you will play a key role in leading all ExCo, Board, and shareholder reporting, including both scheduled updates and ad‑hoc requests. You will also take ownership of our long‑term financial planning model, ensuring accurate and forward‑looking insights that support strategic planning.
In this role, you will contribute to financial analysis, planning cycles, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting. You’ll produce high‑quality management information and provide meaningful financial insight that supports effective decision‑making across Study Group.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead the production and development of Board and Executive Committee financial presentations (data, analysis, insights and recommendations) and reporting; including Quarterly/scheduled forecasts, annual Budget and ad hoc requests
Lead the monthly Business Performance reporting process to the Board, ExCo and other stakeholders
Develop the existing multi-year planning model to aid with multi-year forecasting and plans, working closely with Strategy and Insights team
Work closely with Financial Control to provide a multi-year cashflow model linked to the multi-year P&L forecast model
Assist with the delivery of the Global planning processes including quarterly forecasting, annual budget
Responsible for communication with Private Equity owners to coordinate regular and ad-hoc deliverables
Assist with the monthly management accounts process
Develop and ownership of the Group P&L structure within the finance systems
Work closely with wider Commercial Finance team on key forecasting and budget cycles and drive a strong team culture acting as a trusted leader within the Commercial finance team
Work closely with the FP&A Manager – General Managers, Finance Business Partners to provide insight, including identifying and quantifying opportunities and risks
Develop new reporting and insight on Product and Regional Profitability, Costs and Risks
Help drive change and process improvement via global improvement projects to streamline processes and continued adoption of tools (Power BI)
ABOUT YOU
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent by experience)
Significant FP&A or commercial finance experience.
Experience in a Private Equity portfolio company
Experience in multinational/matrix organisations.
Experience producing and developing executive reporting.
Able to present data and narrative in a way that is easy to read and understand
Have excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical skills and financial modelling
Advanced Excel and experience with BI/planning tools.Strong commercial acumen and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear insights for senior stakeholders. Be deadline and process orientated
Confident self-starter, able to build relationships with people and able to take initiative and openly suggest ideas
Strives to provide best possible financial ‘service’ and support to colleagues and partners
