Your role as a Cosmetology Instructor
As a Part Time Cosmetology Instructor at Bridgerland Technical College in Brigham City, Utah, you'll play a critical role in shaping future beauty professionals through hands-on teaching and mentoring in a salon environment. Your duties will include demonstrating professional customer intake and consultation processes, as well as guiding students in formulating color and chemical services, while ensuring proper application techniques and timing. You will also instruct on haircuts, hairstyles, hair removal, barbering, and both basic and advanced nail services, all while maintaining a focus on customer service excellence. In addition to teaching, you'll engage in record-keeping, scheduling appointments, and operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring an orderly, safe learning environment.
Your leadership will foster professional attitudes and knowledge among students, as you provide academic advising, maintain accurate records, and contribute to program improvement, ensuring that you reflect the current industry standards.
