Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance and Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of the organizations buildings and surrounding grounds. This role performs routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of facility systems, while also ensuring outdoor areas are clean, landscaped, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance, as well as lawn care, landscaping, debris removal, and seasonal tasks such as snow and ice management. The position supports a safe, functional, and professional environment by responding to maintenance needs promptly and adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure proper operation and identify maintenance needs
• Conduct general maintenance and repairs including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical work
• Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, or coordinate repairs with qualified vendors
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders to minimize disruptions to operations
• Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and maintaining landscaping
• Remove debris, litter, and snow/ice from walkways, parking areas, and entrances to ensure safety and accessibility
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles used for facility and grounds maintenance
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials
• Assist with setup and teardown of equipment or spaces for events or operational needs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
• Support emergency repairs and be available for after-hours or on-call work as require

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to determine and select the appropriate tools and equipment needed to complete a task
• Previous experience operating equipment and vehicles with a strong safety-oriented focus
• Demonstrate positive communication and teamwork skills
• Manage time to effectively meet company priorities and meet internal customer needs
• Ability to interact and work with outside vendors as needed
• Ability to perform routine maintenance duties utilizing basic hand/powered tools and powered equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience performing routine maintenance and grounds/landscaping experience preferred

Additional Requirements

• Ability to:
  • Sit, stand, and/or kneel for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time
  • Operate and work off of powered lifts
