DYNAMIC AVIATION Facilities Carpenter and Maintenance Worker in Bridgewater, Virginia
Position Summary:
A Facilities Carpenter and Maintenance Worker is responsible for the construction, repair, and upkeep of buildings and infrastructure within a facility and seasonal tasks such as snow and ice management. This role combines skilled carpentry work with general maintenance duties to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains organization on the jobsite and communicates materials/equipment needs to Facilities Manager
- Effectivelydirectsa small team to stay on task and complete project timelines
- Study specifications in blueprints,engineeringsketchesorbuilding plans to prepare project layout anddeterminedimensions and materialsrequiredto complete new constructionprojects frombeginning to end
- Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools,machinesor power saws
- Follows established safety rules and regulations andmaintainsa safe and clean environment
- Installs structures or fixtures, such as windows,doors,frames, floorings, trim, or hardware using hand or power tools
- Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures
- Installs metal siding and trim
- Inspects and installs various typesof flooring
- Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures
- Assembles and fastens material together to construct wood or metal framework of structure, using hand tools, bolts, nails,screwsor glue
- Maintainsthe physical condition of buildingsas needed
- Removes debris, litter, and snow/ice from walkways, parking areas, and entrances to ensure safety and accessibility
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5years ofpreviousconstructionand/or carpentry experience
- Ability to perform routine maintenance dutiesutilizingbasic hand/powered tools and powered equipment
- Ability todetermineand select theappropriate toolsand equipment needed to complete a task
- Proven technical/mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, especially their design, uses,repairand maintenance
- Previousexperience operating equipment and vehicles with a strong safety-oriented focus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to use and effectively navigate ERP program, time clock, and company intranet
- Proven ability to use manuals todetermineequipment operation and maintenance
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Manage time to effectively meet company priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading a small construction team to complete projectstimely
- Drywall experience

Working Conditions
7 am - 4 pm, overtime and weekends for emergency repairs or based on business needs
