Job Purpose:
The Component shop is responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining aircraft components to meet 145 FAA repair station requirements. This can include landing gear, brakes, hoses (ect.) to deliver quality and value to a diverse set of aviation customers.

Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspections, disassemble, clean aircraft components/parts, and reassemble
Inspect, troubleshoot, lubricate, repair, and/or overhaul components
Rig and adjust aircraft components as necessary and occasionally provide touch-up paint
Read and understand maintenance manuals and understand requirements
Complete all documentation related to completion of tasks
Mentor Non-A&P Mechanics in component shop
Maintain shop floor/environment free from clutter or debris
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
A&P license preferred
High school education required
Previous experience maintaining aircraft components
Detail oriented
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
Ability to follow directions and remain on task
Must provide own tools (tools listing to be provided)
Basic computer skills
Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights
