Robert Half Senior Property Accountant in Bridgewater, New Jersey
Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to oversee and manage comprehensive accounting operations for my client's organization. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, this is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple business entities and properties.
• Prepare accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments, tenant billing and CAM reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure optimal financial health.
• Collaborate with external CPAs to support tax preparation and audit processes.
• Track and manage capital contributions, distributions, and investor allocations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and conducting financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience as a Senior Property Accountant with a background in real estate.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi or MIP.
• Strong understanding of real estate accounting practices and property-level financial reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex financial data.
• Experience handling multiple entities and managing intercompany transactions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional team
