This role focuses on seasonal trends, three-dimensional props, vinyl graphics, and in-store events to bring Macy’s brand concepts to life.You have a strong eye for design, knowledge of fashion and visual presentation, and the ability to work safely with tools and materials. Visual Merchandisers review store priorities, assess product placement, and stay informed on new arrivals, top sellers, and current fashion trends to ensure every display is intentional and on-brand.On the sales floor, they focus on the customer by offering a warm welcome, building personal connections, and contributing to a positive and engaging shopping experience.Throughout the day, they maintain a visually compelling and shoppable environment by refreshing displays, updating signage and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves to reflect current priorities and trends.We believe service starts with each other and that excellence is a journey—working together, learning, improving every day, and taking pride in delivering strong individual and store results.Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. All schedules include weekend shifts. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.## Who You Are and What You Will Do- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with reliable attendance and punctuality- Able to communicate clearly with customers, peers, and leaders and read and understand policies, directives, and safety procedures in English- Execute visual merchandising projects on a monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis- Create inspiring visual presentations that encourage customer purchases through mannequin styling, window displays, fashion trend statements, fixture placement, wall formatting, and product placement- Demonstrate strong knowledge of current fashion trends while upholding Macy’s visual merchandising standards- Install promotional and event materials such as vinyl graphics, signage, and prop displays according to marketing direction- Construct and install three-dimensional elements using hand and power tools, including ladders and basic construction tools- Show creativity and resourcefulness while staying within visual guidelines- Support merchandise moves and maintain the sales floor by updating signage and recovering displays- Collaborate with store leadership and cross-functional teams to align on priorities## Essential Physical Requirements- Continuous moving, standing, talking, reaching, and lifting during shifts- Standing for at least two consecutive hours; lifting up to 50 pounds- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld devices and cash registers## What We Can Offer YouJoin a team where work is as rewarding as it is fun.
