Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a busy finance team in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who brings hands-on accounts payable experience, strong administrative ability, and confidence working in highly automated systems. The person in this role will help maintain accurate payment processing while also providing broader clerical support as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and documentation before entry.
• Review payable records for completeness, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on missing or incorrect billing details.
• Prepare and support scheduled check runs and other payment activities in accordance with internal timelines.
• Use accounting and workflow systems to manage invoice approvals and maintain organized digital records.
• Assist with advanced administrative tasks that support the finance team and related business operations.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to answer payment questions and help resolve account issues.
• Monitor automated payable processes and identify exceptions that require manual review or correction. Requirements • Prior experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment support.
• Working knowledge of invoice coding and general ledger allocation practices.
• Experience assisting with check runs and routine payment processing activities.
• Comfortable using automated accounting or enterprise systems with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Clear communication skills and an attentive approach when working with vendors and internal teams.
