The New Jersey State Department of Corrections is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team of Corrections Officers.
As the largest law enforcement agency in New Jersey, we are committed to ensuring the custody, safety, and care of incarcerated individuals in our state correctional facilities. Salary Information: Starting at: $52,800/yr.
Annual Pay Increases: - NJDOC Correctional Police Officers receive annual salary step increases every year while in the same position as well as across-the-board pay increases every year under the new contract.
Overtime: - NJDOC Correctional Police Officers are eligible for overtime shifts at a pay rate of one-and-a-half times their hourly wage.
Uniform Allowance: - Allowance totaling $2,200, paid semi-annually to full-time NJDOC Correctional Police Officers. A thorough investigation will be conducted on each applicant. Areas of investigation include: Employment history, driving history, domestic violence history and criminal history. - Thorough medical and psychological examination. Must also provide urine samples for analysis to determine drug use.
