Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production, as well as scheduled maintenance repairs during machine shutdowns. The role involves preparing and setting up machinery for production runs and performing mechanic-level skills in troubleshooting and repairing pharmaceutical packaging and production line machines.
Responsibilities
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine shutdowns.
Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to ensure correct maintenance repairs and equipment service.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in mechanical skills including pump and gearbox repair, welding.
Electrical skills such as AC/DC theory and analysis, power distribution, motor and machine control circuits, and familiarity with PLCs.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
Understanding of FDA compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with facility equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling systems.
Working knowledge of building codes.

Work Environment
This position is based in an FDA-compliant facility, with shifts running from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM and 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. There is potential for overtime as needed, and shifts will be determined through a seniority-based system with shift bidding in November. The new production line will operate 24/7, which may result in weekend or third-shift work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $73756.80 - $94203.20/yr.
