Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

The Assembly Technician assembles circuit boards and related electrical components according to customer specifications. You work as part of a collaborative production team to complete daily assembly orders, using hand tools, wiring, and soldering techniques while closely following written instructions and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble circuit boards and related electrical components to meet customer specifications and quality standards.

  • Work in small groups to complete daily assembly orders efficiently and accurately.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks, including cable assembly and panel-related work as needed.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide assembly and wiring activities.

  • Use hand tools and basic mechanical tools safely to assemble, fasten, and adjust components.

  • Carry out wiring tasks, including routing, cutting, stripping, and connecting wires according to instructions.

  • Perform soldering on circuit boards and cables when required, following proper soldering techniques.

  • Follow written directions and work instructions with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications before passing it along in the production process.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and production procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to follow written directions accurately and consistently.

  • Strong attention to detail in assembly, wiring, and inspection tasks.

  • Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or similar environment.

  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for assembly work.

  • Basic understanding of electrical assembly tasks, including wiring.

  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics or willingness to learn.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Soldering experience with circuit boards or cables is a strong plus.

  • Experience in cable assembly or panel assembly is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with production environments and working in team-based assembly lines.

  • Comfort working with mechanical and electrical components using hand tools.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production environment that is generally not very loud, allowing you to focus on precise assembly work. The facility features an open floor layout with clearly defined sections for different business areas, such as cabling and panels, which supports organized workflows and teamwork. You work with standard hand tools, wiring equipment, and soldering tools as part of your daily tasks, following established safety and production procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
