Divine Childcare Center Assistant Teacher in Bridgeport, Michigan
Position: Assistant Teacher Location: Divine Childcare Center, Bridgeport, MI Employment Type: Part-time Hours: Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM (exact shift hours to be discussed)
About Divine Childcare Center: At Divine Childcare Center, we pride ourselves on delivering compassionate and structured early education for children aged 3 to 5. Our teacher assistants play a vital role in helping each child grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
Position Overview: We are looking for a positive and energetic Assistant Teacher to support our lead teaching staff in classroom activities, supervision, and care of young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teacher with classroom activities and daily routines
- Help supervise children during meals, playtime, and naps
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials
- Monitor children's behavior and report concerns to the lead teacher
- Create a supportive, caring environment for students
- Support preparation and cleanup of learning activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children preferred, but not required
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and flexible with schedule
