Manufacturing Cleanroom Technician

Location: Bridgeport, CT

Schedule: Compressed Work Week (CWW) – Days & Nights Available

What You’ll DoCleanroom Manufacturing & Assembly

  • Perform assembly of electrical, electro‑mechanical, and mechanical components in a cleanroom environment

  • Follow detailed work instructions, process travelers, drawings, and bills of materials

  • Use hand tools, fixtures, and equipment safely and correctly

  • Complete assembly tasks from sub‑assembly through final build

Testing, Inspection & Documentation

  • Perform basic functional tests and inspections to verify product quality

  • Conduct visual inspections, continuity checks, and verification steps

  • Identify, document, and report assembly, test, or process issues

  • Support rework and repair activities as directed

Cleanroom & Process Discipline

  • Follow all cleanroom protocols, gowning procedures, ESD controls, and safety requirements

  • Maintain strict adherence to quality and manufacturing procedures

  • Accurately document work performed and ensure traceability

  • Participate in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives

Team & Production Support

  • Work closely with other technicians, team leads, and engineers

  • Support daily production goals and shift handoffs

  • Learn best practices for cleanroom manufacturing and high‑precision assembly

Who This Role Is For

This is an entry-level manufacturing technician role, designed for individuals beginning their careers in cleanroom or high‑tech manufacturing.

Required Skills

  • Mechanical, electrical, or general technical aptitude

  • Comfort working with hand tools and small components

  • Ability to follow detailed written instructions and procedures

  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and quality

  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and wear cleanroom attire

Nice‑to‑Have (Not Required)

  • Prior manufacturing, assembly, or production experience

  • Electrical or electro‑mechanical assembly exposure

  • Trade school or technical training

  • Experience in cleanroom, ESD, or regulated environments

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or 5S

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Trade school, technical program, or Associate degree preferred

  • Manufacturing Technology

  • Electronics

  • Electrical / Mechanical disciplines

  • Equivalent hands‑on manufacturing experience considered

Training & ScheduleTraining

  • Paid, hands‑on cleanroom and manufacturing training provided

  • Initial training on 2nd or 3rd shift for approximately 4–6 weeks

  • No prior cleanroom experience required

Compressed Work Week – Night Shift

  • 12‑hour shifts: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

  • 15% night shift differential

  • Built‑in overtime

CWW N1 Shift

  • Week 1: Sunday – Tuesday

  • Week 2: Sunday – Wednesday (every other Wednesday)

CWW N2 Shift

  • Week 1: Wednesday – Saturday

  • Week 2: Thursday – Saturday (+ every other Wednesday)

Work Environment

  • Cleanroom manufacturing facility

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
