Transylvania Vocational Services Maintenance Technician 3 in Brevard, North Carolina
This position will work Monday-Thursday from 5:45pm - 4:15am and earn a $4 shift differential.
Position Summary
ALULA is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will operate, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment to safely achieve production goals while minimizing downtime. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do
Perform maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repairs, rebuilds, modifications, and equipment start-ups
Operate and maintain production equipment to meet throughput, efficiency, quality, and safety targets
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance tasks
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems (low and high voltage)
Replace and rebuild pumps, motors, and other mechanical components
Troubleshoot, program, and replace VFDs
Read and interpret schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints
Support installation and implementation of new equipment
Partner with subcontractors during repairs and modifications
Assist with equipment and facility sanitation
Maintain maintenance shop organization and tool accountability
Recommend process improvements to enhance equipment performance and facility operations
Train team members on equipment and maintenance best practices
Equipment & Systems Experience
Experience working with the following systems is highly valued:
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Conveyors and automated production equipment
Electrical systems and electronics
Air compressors and vacuum pumps
Fire suppression systems
Natural gas, water, sewer, and pressure vessel systems
Oil/water separators
Welding (stick, TIG, and wire)
What You Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years of industrial maintenance or operations experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to independently troubleshoot and repair equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to change
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds
Ability to maintain required certifications/licenses as applicable
