Assistant Education Director
Boys and Girls Clubs of Transylvania County
29 hrs/week, non-exempt part-time position
The Assistant Education Director designs and delivers high-quality academic programming for K-12 youth at The Club, advancing our educational mission. This role supports curriculum planning, trains part-time staff, and ensures programs operate smoothly, safely, and effectively.
This position requires strong classroom leadership and hands-on experience with lesson planning and youth engagement. While the schedule offers some flexibility, on-site presence during after-school programming is required.
The Assistant Education Director maintains a safe, positive, and inclusive environment by actively supervising members, enforcing Club policies, and modeling positive behavior. Qualified candidates will have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience, prior experience working with youth in an educational or nonprofit setting, and strong communication and teamwork skills. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, and a valid State Drivers License is required. The role operates in a fast-paced, active environment with elevated noise levels when members are onsite.
