LIFE CYCLE ENGINEERING Work Package Technician in Bremerton, Washington
Work Package Technician Position Summary: Life Cycle Engineering is currently seeking individuals to support the Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF) as a Work Packager. As Work Packager, you will be involved with packaging and assembling documents and materials for production to execute work, as well as archiving, scanning, and filing work packages in support of mechanical systems such as (but not limited to) Hydraulic, Air, Seawater, Trim/Drain, Shafting, Steam Generators, Propulsion, Ventilation, etc. We are looking for either two part-time candidates or one full-time candidate. Clearance Requirement: Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret security clearance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all nuclear and non-nuclear work packaging and control processes. Review packages after completion. Take all necessary actions to package and assemble, into task packages in direct support of the work execution phase of a project and Other Production Work. Required Education, Skills, and Experience: At least 10 years production experience which should include the operation, test, maintenance and repair of naval ships or equivalent military training and/or experience within a public or private shipyard environment. Familiar with Work Packager Processes and requirements. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel. Familiarity with the following systems: Advance Industrial Management (AIM) Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) Contractor Integrated Technical Information Service (CITIS) Ship's Drawing Index (SDI) drawings Allowance Parts Lists (APL) Submarine Maintenance Standards (SMS) MRQT MAT Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. Physical Demands and Expectations: Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, standing and prolonged sitting. Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance. Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
