Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
The General Laborer supports a closed-loop manufacturing operation that recycles post-production polycarbonate and PVC scrap into new thermoplastic products. In this role, you help keep production lines running smoothly by assisting with palletizing, material handling, and quality inspections of plastic sheets used in protective applications for restaurants, schools, and businesses. You work as part of a line team in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Support various functions on the production line, including palletizing finished plastic sheets and staging materials as needed.
Perform quality inspections on plastic sheets to ensure they meet required standards and specifications before shipment.
Assist with production line activities such as general labor tasks, replenishing materials, and helping keep the line running efficiently.
Handle materials by unloading and loading products and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while operating around manufacturing and machine equipment.
Work collaboratively as part of a team that manages an individual production line, communicating effectively with coworkers and line leads.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support safe and efficient production.
Adapt to different tasks on the line as needed, demonstrating versatility and willingness to learn new duties.
Support the company’s closed-loop recycling process by handling post-production scrap and finished products according to process requirements.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of manufacturing or production experience.
Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to perform general labor tasks on a production line, including material replenishment and basic line support.
Material handling experience, including unloading and loading products and supplies.
Familiarity with manufacturing or production machinery and willingness to work around machine operations.
Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to perform basic quality checks and visually inspect products for defects.
Capability to work effectively as part of a team running a production line.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience in working with plastic or thermoplastic manufacturing processes.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.
Versatility and flexibility to move between different tasks such as palletizing, inspections, and general line support.
Interest in learning and taking on additional responsibilities on the production line as opportunities arise.

Work Environment
You work in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 270 internal employees across three buildings, operating in a 24/7 production environment. You are part of a dedicated team that runs an individual production line, where collaboration and communication are essential. The facility uses manufacturing and machine equipment to produce plastic sheets, and the work involves standing, moving materials, and performing repetitive tasks in a production setting. Safety procedures are a core part of daily operations, and the company continues to grow by adding new lines to support increasing demand.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Breinigsville, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr.
