Amazon Bankruptcy Analyst, Global Credit Risk & Bankruptcy Team in Bratislava, Slovakia
Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Bankruptcy Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in evaluating the financial positions of companies in distress, developing strategic solutions that maximize creditor returns, and monitoring bankruptcies with exposure to Amazon. This position requires deep financial acumen, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key job responsibilities
Financial Position Evaluation
Conduct comprehensive analysis of companies in distress, including reviewing financial statements, identifying key risks, and assessing business viability
Perform cash flow analysis, liquidity assessments, and valuation modeling for distressed entities
Develop detailed financial health reports with actionable insights for senior management
Strategic Solution Development
Create multi-stakeholder restructuring strategies designed to mitigate risks and maximize creditor returns
Balance competing interests of creditors, management, employees, and other stakeholders in proposed solutions
Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure proposed strategies comply with bankruptcy regulations and court requirements
Quantify potential recovery scenarios and develop data-driven recommendations for optimal outcomes
Exposure Tracking
Monitor and report on the status of all filed bankruptcies where Amazon has financial or operational exposure
Maintain detailed tracking of Amazon-related bankruptcy cases including supplier, vendor, and partnership exposures
Provide timely updates to risk management, legal, and executive teams regarding potential impacts to Amazon
Assess cross-default risks across the Amazon enterprise
Additional Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive reporting packages for internal stakeholders and external creditors
Stay current on bankruptcy law changes, regulatory developments, and market trends impacting distressed companies
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership through clear written and oral communications
Collaborate with legal and restructuring teams on complex bankruptcy cases
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 1.800+ gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in bankruptcy analysis, financial advisory, or distressed asset management
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with proficiency in Excel and financial analysis software
Knowledge of bankruptcy law, procedures, and restructuring mechanics
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
