Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W453AA JOINT INTERAGENCY TASK FORCE SOUTH. This position serves as the Tactical Analysis Team Chief in Brazil guiding intelligence collection, analysis and production efforts. Responsibilities Guides, directs, and conducts intelligence analysis and production concerning drug-trafficking organizations and their operational methods, capabilities, and vulnerabilities, their trends and any perceived threats. Assesses developments that could change methods or vulnerabilities of drug-trafficking and the operational plans to counter such threats. Collects, reviews, interprets, evaluates, and integrates data from multiple sources in the process of analyzing targeted activities and organizations. Serves as a counterdrug intelligence analyst team leader for a Tactical Analysis Team (TAT). Maintains liaison with leading analysts in US and partner nation agencies and law enforcement agencies sufficient to discuss mutual analytical problems and production requirements. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Requires expert knowledge and proficiency of the Portuguese language. Ability to score at least a 2+/2+ on a Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in Portuguese is required. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which has prepared you to do the work in this position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience developing and implementing a collection management framework that structures data sources, enhances the ability to identify intelligence gaps and prioritizes collection efforts against targeted activities and organizations; AND Experience researching and analyzing multi-intelligence data to assess the accuracy and reliability of information and produce actionable, all-source intelligence products; AND Experience leading cross-functional tactical analysis intelligence professionals in the development and implementation of advanced analytical methodologies for the development and dissemination of threat assessments and operational decisions used across multiple mission areas; AND Experience coordinating with multi-agency and international intelligence partners to identify, analyze and disrupt targeted networks and organizations, while deconflicting targeting efforts between agency intelligence and other intelligence and law enforcement partners. Specialized experience is progressively responsible experience that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
