Job Title: Logistics & Shipping Coordinator Job Description
As a Logistics & Shipping Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the movement of raw materials, assisting with inventory counts, directing Material Handlers, and ensuring the timely shipping of customer orders. You will also be responsible for maintaining the organization and efficiency of the warehouse while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Production and Sales teams to develop shipping schedules and verify instructions.
Notify customers when shipments are ready, coordinate pickups, and prepare shipping documents.
Receive raw materials, record inventory tags, and update the database with storage locations.
Coordinate the shipment of raw materials to suppliers and scrap film for reprocessing.
Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
Handle customer returns by labeling, storing, and notifying relevant departments.
Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse and work environment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
Safely operate manufacturing machinery, inspection tools, and material handling equipment.
Comply with Employment and ISO Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing operations.
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Valid driver's license with the ability to operate various vehicles including box trucks.
Knowledge of material handling and scanning equipment.
Proficient in English with the ability to read, write, and understand instructions.
Basic mathematical skills and computerized data entry proficiency.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Legal authorization to work in the USA.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with computerized purchasing, inventory, and warehouse systems.
Manual dexterity for using hand tools and packaging equipment.
Physical ability to lift 60 pounds unassisted and more with assistance.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and overtime, including weekends.

Work Environment
This position requires standing, walking, bending, and handling objects. You will need to climb stairs and operate forklifts and other vehicles. The work environment involves varying temperatures, and operations run 24/7, requiring potential overtime and weekend shifts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Branford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
