Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Advisor to join the Cyber Security Team. This individual will be primarily responsible for developing cyber security dashboards using Power BI and other enterprise reporting tools, Jira configurations to support cyber security program management processes, and related initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process oriented, able to handle multiple priorities, and deliver high quality work on time, with attention to detail. They also have the ability to translate complex technical requirements and communicate them to various audiences.
What you'll do:
Identify and establish key cyber performance and risk metrics that will drive impactful actions and decisions to address key risks and threats, improve operational performance, and drive capability maturity.
Own full lifecycle management of metric and reporting activities from initial metrics identification / development through to reporting and ongoing metric maintenance.
Design and develop high quality system generated reports, scorecards and dashboards for key audiences from operational to senior leadership teams using enterprise reporting tools, to demonstrate the value that cyber security brings to an organization.
Create clear, concise, well written and visually compelling presentations for various audiences, using your ability to translate technical information into business language and intended outcomes.
Configure and optimize multiple integrated projects (workflows, schemes, permissions, spaces, and templates) and manage the lifecycle/performance of all automations and plugins (Scriptrunner, Power Scripts, eazyBI) and continuously improve configurations utilizing Atlassian best practices and industry trends
Gather business requirements and translate them into technical requirements; design scalable workflows/field configurations/automations with focus on meeting Jira best practices for performance and business outcomes
Triage and resolve Jira issues (permissions, workflows, dashboards, automation, plugin behaviors), interfacing between business teams and the Jira administration
Monitor and advise on opportunities to continuously improve and optimize existing cyber security system processes, metrics and reporting capabilities to reduce bottlenecks, improve end-user experience and improve system performance while ensuring secure practices are followed.
What you bring:
Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years experience with Power BI development and Jira configuration.
Experience with strengths in the following key areas are an asset:
Reporting tools: Power BI development (reports and dashboards), Jira EazyBI and Jira Dashboards, Tableau optional
Reporting languages: DAX functions, Power Query, Multidimensional Expressions MDX query, M language
Analytics tools: Databricks, Azure Data Explorer, and Microsoft Fabric platform
ETL/ELT tools: Power Query (Dataflows), Alteryx optional
Familiarity with Azure cloud services such as Azure Storage account
Software configuration and development: Jira Software plugins such as Scriptrunner, Power Scripts, Power Scripts for Groovy, Jira Asset administration, and Jira Confluence administration, ServiceNow optional
Scripting: JavaScript, SQL, Python, KQL/JQL, Groovy, SIL
Experience in the following areas is an asset:
Direct experience designing and developing dashboards and reports
Direct experience with process workflow optimization and development in systems
Knowledge of data aggregation, data feed, data warehouse solutions
Direct experience with data analytics, developing dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, and other reporting for various audiences (operational, management and senior leadership)
Experience in requirements gathering, and driving multiple initiatives on a tight timeline
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to translate technical information into business language to create clear, coherent and concise written materials.
Ability to create meaningful and impactful visual presentations that clearly demonstrates key messages.
Strong verbal and written business communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
