Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based
Location: Bradenton, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full Time (37.5 hrs/week)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 17–18 Weeks
Modality: Onsite – Middle School Setting
About the Role
Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services, conduct evaluations, and support students according to individualized plans of care. This is a full-time, school-based role working primarily with middle school students in a supportive environment alongside an experienced team.
You will manage a manageable caseload, collaborate with educators, and make an impact on student communication, learning, and development.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct student speech and language evaluations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide direct and consultative therapy services
Document all services in accordance with district guidelines
Communicate with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with IDEA, district policies, and physician orders
Support middle school students in a traditional and resource setting
Position Details
Caseload: 65 students
4 consult students
1 student in EBD cluster
No ASD or IND cluster programs
School Environment: Middle school campus next to an elementary school with a seasoned SLP available for support
Weekly Schedule: Monday–Friday, approx. 37.5 hours
Additional: District operates on a 180-day calendar
Minimum Requirements
Active Florida SLP License
CCC-SLP preferred (may be required depending on district)
Meets all state, federal, and district credentialing requirements
CPR certification (if applicable)
TB test, PPD, or chest X-ray (if required)
Current health certificate (as required)
Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in school-based settings
Strong evaluation and documentation skills
Comfortable managing a diverse caseload
Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team
