Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting our client hire an Operating Room RN in Bradenton, Florida! This role is on site / in person. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Full time, direct hire with client!

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Pay: $35.82 to $38.08 an hour

Key Responsibilities of the Operating Room RN:

· Ensures patient readiness for surgery including, but not limited to, NPO status, medication administration, timeout protocol, and chart completeness

· Implements the plan of care safely and effectively and provides a safe environment, including, but not limited to: Positioning patients safely, padding bony prominence and ensuring respiratory and circulatory protection

· Ensuring correct prepping and draping procedures

· Ensuring asepsis during all procedures. Opens and presents sterile items to sterile field aseptically; ensures supplies are not expired

· Accounting for all sponges, needles, and sharps, during and after the procedures and documenting appropriately

· Demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning O.R. suites before, between, and after cases

· Accurately records, labels, and handles specimens

· Can perform all duties of a circulating room nurse

· Gives thorough report of patient’s intra-operative condition to PACU nurse

· Collaborates with other members of the surgical team to ensure efficient turn-around time between each procedure

Qualifications for the Operating Room RN:

· Associates degree

· Active and good standing RN license in Florida

· Current BLS and ACLS required

· Certification as an Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) preferred

· 3-5 years of experience as a nurse providing perioperative care preferred

· Extensive knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques

· Ability to collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals

· Solid understanding of patient health and safety standards
