Aerotek Mechanical Assembly Technician in Bradenton, Florida
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to build, assemble, and debug automated equipment using mechanical prints, pneumatic schematics, and electrical diagrams. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with motion systems, and the ability to troubleshoot issues during machine builds. Pay level is based on experience and technical capability.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble automation equipment from mechanical prints, including linear rails, gearboxes, bearings, and precision-aligned components.
Install, plumb, and troubleshoot pneumatic systems including air cylinders, valves, regulators, and fittings.
Support machine build and startup by diagnosing and resolving mechanical, pneumatic, and basic controls-related issues.
Install and align servo motors and motion components, recognizing differences in motor wiring, mounting styles, and load requirements.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, pneumatic schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Use precision measuring tools to verify alignment, tolerances, and machine setup.
Work independently or as part of a build team to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized, professional work area.
Required Skills & Tools
Mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
Pneumatics installation and troubleshooting
Automation and machine build debugging
Servo motors, drives, and motion systems familiarity
Blueprint and schematic interpretation
Diagnostic and measurement tools, including:
Calipers and micrometers
Precision levels
Machinist squares
Multimeters
Pay is $$22-26 based on experience
1st shift 7am-4pm Monday-Friday

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
