Pay: $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

Day Shift8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday through Friday

Night Shift- 7pm-7am, Sunday through Frida

Overview

Adecco is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to support the quality and safety of food products for a leading client in the food manufacturing industry. This role requires someone who is engaged, hands-on, and comfortable working on the production floor to support operations.

In this position, you will be responsible for inspection, testing, monitoring, and verification of raw materials in process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet all required quality standards and specifications. This role reports directly to the Quality and Food Safety Manager .

Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform quality evaluations of ingredients and products during all stages of production.

  • Monitor and document product waste.

  • Review and verify facility paperwork for accuracy.

  • Verify metal detector and Xray compliance as part of critical control and control point monitoring.

  • Ensure adherence to all food safety and quality policies and procedures.

  • Conduct daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections, including sanitation, housekeeping, and reporting maintenance concerns.

  • Inspect freezer and cooler conditions; take temperature readings and communicate out of range findings for corrective action.

  • Collect and organize data; maintain detailed documentation related to food safety and quality; communicate findings to the Quality & Food Safety Manager.

  • Conduct GMP, sanitation inspections, and routine plant walkthroughs.

  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with established food safety standards.

  • Place equipment on HOLD for allergen cleaning verification; validate and authorize product release.

  • Participate in shift meetings to communicate QA issues and updates.

  • Support additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or related scientific field — OR

  • 3 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of food safety and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of food testing concepts and techniques.

  • Proficiency in PC-based word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Ability to read and interpret written information with high accuracy.

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (BRC, USDA, FDA).

  • Understanding of allergens, GMP, SOPs, and sanitation practices.

  • Familiarity with internal auditing for food safety and personnel safety.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 3 hours continuously.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 2 hours) while working at a computer.

  • Ability to regularly lift 40 lbs without strain; occasional lifting up to 80 lbs safely.

  • Ability to work around chemicals and cleaning agents used in food production and warehouse environments.

  • Ability to work in warm environments as needed.

  • Must be able to wear slip-resistant shoes, gloves, and eye protection.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
