CBRE Project Manager-Retail Bank Construction in Boynton Beach, Florida

About the role

The Project Manager provides consulting services to ourfinancial services client account to help achieve the company's strategicbusiness objectives for retail bank construction. The Project Manager will leadboth ground up and new branch renovations in Florida with an emphasis on sitesalong the Atlantic Coast or Tampa/Orlando markets based on candidate’slocation.

This job is part of the Project Management functionresponsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. Thisis a remote role requiring project site visits equaling approximately 20%-40%day-travel weekly.

What you’ll do

Manage all areas of project management for commercial realestate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, andcloseout.

Interface directly with clients to prepare all elements ofthe project, including the scope of work, project delivery resourcerequirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks,quality control, and risk identification.

Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress ofconstruction, review the status of work completed during the period covered,review that work is proceeding in a proper manner and in general accordancewith the approved drawings and specifications.

Review contractors' direct cost payment requisitions andbudget status, review of subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance,review of change orders, review of Developer's monthly Job Cost Reports, opineon adequacy of contingency, review of construction and disbursement schedules,review of lien waiver and other documentation.

Review contract blueprints and specifications and opine forcompleteness and general compliance with commonly accepted architectural/engineering standard methodologies.

Analyze the Developer's direct and indirect cost budgetincluding cost estimate back-up and coordinate with the Cost Advisory groupperforming parameter estimates, spot quantity take-offs and review ofsupporting documentation submitted by the Developer, contractor, andsubcontractors.

Review and make relevant comments concerning the terms ofthe construction agreement, the submitted subcontracts, architectural andengineering design agreements, building loan agreement as well as review bothContractor and Architect's qualification statements.

Review and comment on construction and disbursementschedules as well as other submitted documents including but not limited tozoning approvals, certified surveys, building permits and approvals, utilitycompany approval letters, soil and foundation engineering reports, anddesigner's certification of code and ADA compliance.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistentwith CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values. Work to buildconsensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in theUnited States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Kahua, MS Project, or similar project management software. Experience with Smartsheet is a plus.

  • Ground up, retail, and/or financial services experience is strongly desired. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is preferred.

  • General knowledge of leases, contracts, construction practices, and the ability to read architectural drawings.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
