ManpowerGroup Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 in Boydton, Virginia

Our client, a leader in information technology and data management, is seeking a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 to join their dedicated team. This is a Data Center Technician role focused on inventory control, material movement, and operational support inside a data center environment. The position supports high-volume activity including shipping/receiving, rack movements, inventory audits, and compliance tracking.

The technician monitors systems for equipment issues, helps with basic troubleshooting, supports program testing/debugging, and ensures accurate physical inventory tracking. There’s a strong operational and procedural component — following documented runbooks, regulatory controls, and data-bearing device destruction protocols.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1

Location: Boydton, VA

Pay Range: $22/hr - $25/hr

What's the Job?

  • Perform physical inventory tracking and staging to ensure accurate data management

  • Coordinate and execute incoming and outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and rack movement activities

  • Conduct inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and support regulatory compliance activities

  • Manage material movement, shipping, and receiving processes in accordance with standard procedures

  • Assist with the destruction of data bearing devices following documented procedures and runbooks

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • At least 2 years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, or related fields within an IT environment

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Previous experience working in a data center environment preferred

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly
