Novo Nordisk Supervisor, Facilities Management in Boulder, Colorado
About the Department
The Boulder Site is home to the specialized technical operations/CMC team for oligonucleotides and RNAi therapeutics. The CMC team works alongside Quality, Regulatory, Technical Operations and RNAi Early Development professionals at our Boulder, Colorado facility and works closely with our teams in Lexington, Massachusetts. The Position
Oversee the performance of all Facilities operations activities, preventative maintenance and projects to ensure proper working order and compliance of systems. Assists with preparation of yearly Facilities budget, audit and approval of contract Facilities services, performance reviews and continuous improvement projects. Supports assigned US CMC facility/facilities.

Reports to: Sr Manager, Facilities Management
Essential Functions
Hire, train, develop and coach team members
Align individual performance expectations with organization goals
Develop performance goals collaboratively with direct reports
Ensure that performance goals are clearly communicated and current
Provide constructive and timely feedback towards performance expectation and goals
Drive facilities performance to meet business and customer needs through world-class maintenance practices
Ensure maintenance practices are standardized
Cross train with other Facilities Supervisors and Facilities Manager to provide redundancy in leadership across teams
Ensure that facilities equipment unscheduled events and non-conformities are completed to standard in order to support site goals
Ensure that maintenance activities are on time and completed to standard. Review and approval of work records
Provide Computerized Maintenance Management System training to teams across the site on a regular basis
Maintain facilities documentation compliant with current regulatory guidelines
Support the timely processing and closure of investigations (root cause analysis), deviations and CAPA’s as directed
Manage RAM and for all work order and PM activities
PO and invoice approvals within Supervisor approval authorization limit and within established time expectations
Support emergency response
Support and lead shutdown activities
Respond to afterhours calls and emergencies
Lead site wide C4Z sustainability
Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others

Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required The ability to climb, reach, stand, and walk. The ability to push, pull, lift, finger, feel, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. Lifting up to 10 of force occasionally. Sedentary work – walking and standing are required only occasionally. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
Qualifications
Education, Certifications, & Work Experience:
High School Diploma and 6+ years of experience, Associate degree and 4+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience. Experience should be in facilities systems, equipment maintenance, or equivalent
Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or other regulatory industries experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of facility related systems including Clean Water Systems, Clean Steam System, HVAC Systems, and Compressed Gas Systems
Ability to read and understand sophisticated architectural, equipment and system drawings
Computer literate, experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong project skills. Develop scope, budget, plan, execute and perform project close out
Proven Team player
Previous experience in clean room and cGMP applications required
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of validation philosophy and application desired
Coaching and mentoring of direct reports
Drive facilities performance to meet business and customer needs through world-class maintenance practices
The base compensation range for this position is $83,400 to $150,200. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and/or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
