SciTec Staff / Sr Staff Systems Engineer in Boulder, Colorado

Responsibilities 

  • Coordination with system end-users and other stakeholders to develop system concepts of operation based on high-level mission needs. 
  • Rapid analysis of system concepts of operation to develop system specifications and candidate architectures. 
  • Analysis of requirements and interface control documents to provide implementation guidance to SciTec software developers in an Agile development environment. 
  • Documentation and development of operational concepts, stakeholder needs, system requirements, and system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools. 
  • Additional duties as required and assigned. 
Requirements
  • Current SECRET DoD or DoE clearance 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline 
  • At least two years of relevant work experience, including experience with software systems or remote sensing systems 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills 

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred 

  • Current TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information 
  • At least five years of relevant work experience, including experience with software systems or remote sensing systems
  • Experience with the design or operation of Overhead Persistent Infrared sensor systems, ground segments, or exploitation tooling
  • Experience in systems engineering, design, or implementation of distributed software systems, especially systems operating in a Kubernetes environment
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques. Familiarity with the Cameo suite of tools is particularly desired

The pay range for this position is $98,000 - $146,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
