Responsibilities
- Implementing systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288.
- Designing and modeling architectures for data processing systems.
- Developing artifacts using Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Mentoring other SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies.
- Communicating professionally and effectively between customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering (including systems engineering), or computer science
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, remote sensing, aerospace, or defense
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience specifically in systems engineering
- Two (2) years of experience specifically with MBSE and modeling
- Two (2) years of experience developing system/software requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred
- Domain experience with remote sensor systems or software architecture, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing
- Experience supporting systems engineering programs in the defense and aerospace fields
- Experience supporting prototypes transformation into production level engineering solutions
- Additional professional experience in systems engineering beyond 2 years
- Familiarity with the Cameo family of tools, specifically Cameo Systems Modeler
- Experience with Agile software development methods
- Demonstrated experience in program management and project leadership
- Familiarity with the Earned Value Management System
- Graduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related fields

The pay range for this position is $117,000 - $168,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
