SciTec Software Integration Engineer in Boulder, Colorado
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our software projects
- Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and performance
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implement and enforce best practices for security and compliance.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to our DevOps processes and tools
- Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve developer experience
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A bachelor's in computer science, engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or similar field
- At least 8 years professional experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.
- At least 8 years professional experience and fluency in one or more of the following languages: C++, Python
- At least three years professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) such as gitlab-ci and/or Jenkins
- At least 8 years ongoing experience using Linux operating systems to develop software
- Strong experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test and production
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work full-time in-person in Boulder, CO office location
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:
- An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- Experience with OpenShift
- Experience implementing features of C++ 14, 17, and 20 standards
- Professional experience with Agile software development
- A current active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher

The pay range for this position is $146,000 to $172,000 per year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
