SciTec Senior Systems Engineer in Boulder, Colorado
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288.
- Mentoring other SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies.
- Coordinating between customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team. Effective verbal and written communication skills are key for this role.
- Designing and modeling systems architectures for remote sensor data processing systems. Developing design artifacts using Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Managing systems engineering staff and contractors in coordination with the SciTec program management team.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
- Ten (10) years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, or remote sensing.
- Five (5) years of experience specifically in systems engineering.
- Two (2) years of experience specifically with MBSE
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred
- Domain experience with remote sensor systems or software architecture, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing.
- Experience supporting systems engineering programs in the defense and aerospace fields.
- Additional professional experience in systems engineering beyond five years.
- Familiarity with the Cameo/MagicDraw family of tools.
- Experience with Agile software development methods.
- Demonstrated experience in program management and project leadership.
- Experience in Integration, Verification and Test activities.
- Graduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related fields.
- An active SECRET DoD security clearance or higher

The pay range for this position is $131,000 - $185,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
