SciTec Senior / Principal Windows System Administrator (Clearance Required) in Boulder, Colorado
Responsibilities
- Provide Windows systems administration in multiple heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
- Install, configure, and manage Windows operating systems, applications, and related software, including Microsoft Exchange, Office, SharePoint and SCCM.
- Implement and maintain Group Policy settings and other configuration tools.
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect Windows systems and data.
- Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows systems and applications.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying problems.
- Develop and document technical configurations, processes and procedures
- Collaborating with other teams
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years professional experience performing duties of a Windows system administrator
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments including experience managing and troubleshooting Windows 11 and Active Directory
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
- An active and transferable Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification)
- Experience with system hardening and STIGs
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Candidates meeting the following criteria will be preferred:
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi or other virtual computing methods
- Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems
- Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification
- Experience with Linux system administration
- Creation and deployment of Windows system images in an enterprise environment
- Experience with U.S. government certification & accreditation processes

The pay range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
