SciTec Senior / Principal Windows System Administrator (Clearance Required) in Boulder, Colorado

Responsibilities

  • Provide Windows systems administration in multiple heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
  • Install, configure, and manage Windows operating systems, applications, and related software, including Microsoft Exchange, Office, SharePoint and SCCM.
  • Implement and maintain Group Policy settings and other configuration tools.
  • Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect Windows systems and data.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows systems and applications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying problems.
  • Develop and document technical configurations, processes and procedures
  • Collaborating with other teams
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 5+ years professional experience performing duties of a Windows system administrator
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments including experience managing and troubleshooting Windows 11 and Active Directory
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • An active and transferable Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification)
  • Experience with system hardening and STIGs
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Candidates meeting the following criteria will be preferred:

  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi or other virtual computing methods
  • Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems
  • Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification
  • Experience with Linux system administration
  • Creation and deployment of Windows system images in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with U.S. government certification & accreditation processes

The pay range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
