CBRE HSE Manager in Boulder, Colorado
About the Role:
Therole of Event Safety Program Manager will lead the integration ofEnvironmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs into the dynamic world of liveevents and work hand in hand with our client’s event security team. As asubject matter expert, you will support end-to-end event planning – frominitial site selection and risk assessment, to build-outs, through operationand final load-out. Your mission is to build and scale a\"best-in-class\" event safety program that addresses complexchallenges like high-occupancy crowd dynamics , capacity requirements , environmental impacts, medical response programs, and subcontractorsafety compliance.
What You’ll Do:
● Support client teams in providing end-to-end EHSplanning, including risk assessments, medical support planning, capacityrequirement strategy, and overall site-specific safety plan in coordinationwith the venue, production, security, and cross functional operational teams.
● Support the development of robust crowd controlstrategies and occupancies to ensure attendee safety and code compliance.
● Manage vendor and subcontractor safetycompliance on behalf of clients, ensuring all third-party partners adhere toour rigorous safety protocols and local regulation during construction andoperations.
● Coordinate and oversee event medical supportservices, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, emergency response protocols,and rapid-response capabilities are integrated into site operation plans.
● Support injury prevention of all attendees andevent staff and injury response management of the overall event.
● Serve as a consultant and subject matter experton EHS related items such as fire & life safety, hazardous materials,regulatory compliance, subcontractor management, injury reporting andinvestigation, electrical & construction safety in coordination withminimum requirements and EHS standards.
● Develop and test emergency communicationprotocols, including mass notification systems and evacuation/shelter-in-placeprocedures
● Monitor and manage environmental risks,including severe weather triggers, air quality, and heat stress, and establishclear 'stop-event' or evacuation thresholds
● Provide ad hoc support to additional projectsand/or incident investigations, as needed.
● Ability to travel to event locations within theAmericas and other regions on short notice.
What You’ll Need:
● Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years ofrelevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience andeducation will be considered.
● Additionalcertifications as required by the local authority.
● Ability toguide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, conveyperformance expectations and handle problems.
● Leadershipskills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of thejob discipline and department.
● In-depthknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the [HSE Manager] position is $100,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the [HSE Manager] position is $120,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
