Actalent Engineering- Electronics Technician in Boulder, Colorado

Job Title: TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technician to maintain and calibrate laboratory spaces and equipment. The role involves ensuring the safety of our laboratories, purchasing necessary lab consumables and tools, and collaborating with contamination control engineering on incoming inspection and cleaning of parts. This position also supports engineering staff by coordinating with building facilities and managing maintenance, upgrades, and equipment delivery. The candidate will build and test harnesses and boards, including NASA crimping and wiring, and perform NASA staking and conformal coating.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory spaces and equipment.

  • Ensure safety of the laboratories.

  • Purchase lab consumables and tools.

  • Collaborate with contamination control engineering for parts inspection and cleaning.

  • Support engineering staff by coordinating labs with building facilities.

  • Assist in maintenance, upgrades, and equipment delivery.

  • Build and test harnesses and boards, including NASA crimping and wiring.

  • Perform NASA staking and conformal coating.

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with electronics and test equipment.

  • Ability to read and understand schematics.

  • Mechanical skills.

  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes and assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1+ years of related work experience with an Associate’s degree.

  • 2+ years of related work experience without an Associate’s degree.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and LabView or ability to be trained.

  • Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment and tools.

  • Ability to build engineering-level cables, adaptors, assemblies, and boards.

  • Engineering-level soldering skills.

  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily a lab setting, where innovative research is conducted to improve space products. The role involves using standard laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boulder, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
