As a CDL Shuttle Driver at Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures, your office is the drive itself, winding through desert roads, historic corridors, and canyon views on the way to the Colorado River. Driving shuttles of up to 32 passengers, this role blends precision and presence, ensuring guests feel safe, welcomed, and genuinely looked after. Along the way, drivers may share light narration and stories of Hoover Dam, the river, and the landscape, helping guests connect to the place before they ever reach the water. Rooted in reliability, safety, and care, this position turns transportation into part of the experience.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Safely operate company shuttle vehicles transporting up to 32 passengers
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns
Maintain compliance with all DOT, CDL, and company safety requirements
Provide clear, friendly communication to guests regarding schedules, safety reminders, and logistics
Assist guests with boarding, seating, and comfort.
Coordinate with guides, logistics, and management staff to ensure smooth daily flow
Maintain a clean, professional vehicle interior and exterior
Adapt to changing schedules, traffic conditions, and weather while remaining calm and professional
Uphold Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures’ standards for guest service, stewardship, and teamwork
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Valid CDL (Class B or higher) with Passenger Endorsement
Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
Previous commercial driving experience preferred (tour, shuttle, or motorcoach experience a plus)
Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules
Ability to sit for extended periods and assist guests as needed

Experience in outdoor recreation, tourism, or hospitality
Knowledge of the Hoover Dam, Black Canyon, or Colorado River region (or eagerness to learn)
Calm, safety-focused mindset with excellent situational awareness
Team-oriented attitude with flexibility and reliability
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 30 lbs. regularly, 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
