CompuCom Deployment Automation Engineer in Bothell, Washington

Our client is seeking a qualified Deployment Automation Engineer to join their team. This is a hybrid opportunity, and candidate must be based in Bothell, WA and surrounding. The ideal candidate will possess strong PowerShell expertise to support automated Windows provisioning and endpoint lifecycle management to convert current processes to a Microsoft Autopilot‐based solution.
This is a 6+ month Contract position.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain unattended PC build processes, scripts, and packages to support automated provisioning
Implement and optimize Windows Autopilot and Entra AD-based enrollment flows
Create, test, and maintain PowerShell scripts and deployment packages for imaging and post-deployment configuration
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows endpoints, imaging, and provisioning pipelines
Work with configuration management and packaging teams to ensure robust, repeatable deployments
Develop and maintain documentation for deployment procedures, runbooks, automation scripts, and operational knowledge transfer
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize deployment tasks and improvements
Participate in on-call or escalation rotations as needed
Work closely with IT leaders to align deployment activities and operational priorities
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT Operations, Security, Endpoint Management, and HealthTech Service modalities) to ensure deployments meet organizational standards
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. Knowledge of VBScript, batch, or other programming/scripting languages is a plus
Practical experience in designing and maintaining automated, unattended PC deployment workflows and in developing standardized installation toolsets
Proven experience with Active Directory, Azure/Entra AD, Intune and Windows Autopilot, and how to leverage these in enterprise provisioning workflows
Extensive hands-on experience supporting Windows OS and Windows environments, including unattended PC setup and imaging
Solid understanding of unattended software deployment, packaging, and distribution (e.g., MSIs, scripts, config management)
Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience diagnosing imaging and post-deployment configuration issues
Strong communication skills and experience working with IT leaders and cross-functional teams
Relevant certifications or formal education in IT, system administration, or related fields are a plus
Experience with SCCM/ConfigMgr, or other endpoint management tools preferred
Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and Entra ID environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) for deployment artifacts or automation pipelines preferred
Wage Range :
The rate for this position is between $37.50 - $50.00 per hour , unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
