Job Title: Reporting Support Analyst

Job Description

The Reporting Support Analyst supports the design, build, validation, and deployment of Workday HCM reports during a full HCM implementation. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, and other functional teams to deliver accurate, secure, and business‑ready reporting throughout implementation, testing, and go‑live, enabling informed decision‑making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document detailed reporting requirements from HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders.

  • Design, build, and maintain a variety of Workday reports, including Standard, Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports.

  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and testing activities to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Assist with data conversion efforts and help ensure data integrity across legacy systems and Workday.

  • Develop dashboards and analytics that support HR and leadership decision‑making.

  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, data discrepancies, and performance problems, and drive timely resolutions.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), go‑live activities, and post‑production reporting needs.

  • Create and maintain clear reporting documentation, including logic, data sources, and business rules.

  • Train end users on report usage, self‑service reporting capabilities, and best practices.

  • Ensure all reporting activities comply with data governance, security, and privacy standards.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to continuously improve reporting quality and efficiency.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 2–5+ years of HRIS reporting or data analytics experience.

  • Hands‑on experience with Workday reporting.

  • Strong understanding of HCM processes, including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation.

  • Experience supporting system implementations and data migration activities.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.

  • Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate data records.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on data quality and integrity.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with stakeholders and end users.

  • Ability to work with data governance, security, and privacy standards in a reporting context.

  • Solid general computer skills and comfort working with HR and reporting technologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience collaborating with HR, Payroll, and cross‑functional teams during system implementations.

  • Experience in supporting user acceptance testing, go‑live, and post‑production support.

  • Experience creating end‑user training materials and delivering training on reporting and self‑service tools.

  • Ability to document reporting logic, data sources, and business rules in a clear and structured manner.

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional, technology‑driven environment focused on implementing and optimizing Workday HCM. You will work extensively with Workday reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, and other HR and business systems to support a full HCM implementation. The position typically follows standard business hours, with additional flexibility during key project phases such as testing and go‑live. The work involves close collaboration with HR, Payroll, and functional teams, as well as independent analysis and report development in an office or remote setting, depending on organizational policies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
