Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for System Administrator – Access Services to support access services including national active directory, multi-factor authentication, and remote access. The candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance related to access requests, user authentication, and access control to various IT systems, applications, and resources within the organization. This role involves responding to user queries, troubleshooting access issues, and ensuring the security of the organization’s digital environment. Service Desk Analysts work closely with IT teams to provide timely resolutions to access-related challenges. Escalation of the issue to the Tier 2 team may be required. Lastly, the candidate will be required to follow up with the customer to verify resolution.
This position is located within the United States and will be a full remote position.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to Active Directory issues
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to Group policies, DNS, TCP/IP, NTFS issues
Support all aspects of the AD environment, ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of authentication, authorization, and LDAP related services to internal and external customers
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to DUO Two Factor Authentication Issues for both DUO For Desktop and VPN Authentication
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using Personal Identity Verification-Interoperable (PIV-I) technology
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to MFA using desktop, phishing resistant authentication tools
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to Remote Access Authentication (RAA)
Document, review, update, or close tickets within ITSM tool and identify opportunities to quickly resolve issues/or develop knowledge articles
Other projects as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher (in a related discipline) with 3 years (or commensurate experience)
If candidate does not meet Mid-Level education requirement, four (4) additional years of experience will be acceptable for a total of 7 years relevant experience
Required Skills and Experience
Working technical knowledge of Microsoft OS and services in a multi-site topology, including:
Active Directory
Group Policies
Working knowledge of Active Directory architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, security, schema changes, etc.)
Utilization of ITSM tool to create and track tickets
Strong understanding of networking technologies & troubleshooting [DNS, HTTP(s), etc.]
Problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills
Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment
Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audiences on technical issues
Demonstrated ability to communicate on a technical level to technical audiences
Ability to work flexible hours (7am – 6pm CT) and be on-call (rotation)
Ability to do limited travel (0-4 times a year)
Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain an AOUSC Public Trust
Preferred Skills and Experience
MCSA/MCSE Certification
Experience/knowledge of supporting Quest Active Roles Server (ARS) and other Quest Products
Working knowledge of PKI, digital certifications, and security tokens
PowerShell or Visual Basic scripting
Security Event and Privileged Access Management Solutions engineering
Security management, including auditing and user access control of databases
Microsoft Server systems administration
Knowledge of Remote Access Services such as Cisco Secure and Zscaler
Cross-platform OS knowledge [Linux, Mac OS X, Windows]
Cross-platform mobile device knowledge [iOS/Android]
Understanding of ITIL best practices

USD $65,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
